Sejmik Województwa Wielkopolskiego znajduje się w rękach Koalicji Obywatelskiej i Polskiego Stronnictwa Ludowego. Do tego dodajmy, że wojewodą wielkopolskim jest polityk Polski 2050 Szymona Hołowni, a jego zastępcą członek Polskiego Stronnictwa Ludowego, którzy na czas wyborów przybierają szyld "Trzeciej Drogi". Stąd może pojawić się pogląd, że Wielkopolska to kraina mlekiem i miodem płynąca. Można też znaleźć do niego uzasadnienie. Przykładem przyznanie rekordowej ilości nagród i stypendiów. Samorząd Województwa Wielkopolskiego przeznaczy na to łącznie aż 600 tys. zł! Wśród wąskiego grona laureatów nagród (mowa o 12 osobach) znalazła się m.in. Barbara Matysek - Szopińska z Zakrzewa, prywatnie żona posła Henryka Szopińskiego. Nagrody i stypendia zostały wręczone 18 marca br. w Teatrze Wielkim w Poznaniu.
